Logins
Damit du dich an Mathematik- oder Informatikrechnern anmelden kannst, musst du dich separat dafür registrieren. Dieses machst Du in dem Service-Portal unter dem Punkt “Dezentrale Dienste”.
Hier kannst du die Dienstbetreuung sowohl für Informatik als auch für Mathematik auswählen. Bei der Informatik wird der Dienst automatisch freigeschaltet, bei der Mathematik musst Du mit deiner Studienbescheinigung aber noch persönlich bei dem Rechnerbetrieb Mathematik vorbeischauen.
If you want to log into the mathematics or computer science systems on the campus, you’ll have to enable this service at the Service-Portal by selecting it under “Decentralized Services”.
Here you can choose the service support for both computer science (called “Rechnerzugang im Institut für Informatik”) and mathematics (“Rechnerzugang im Institut für Mathematik”). In computer science the service is automatically activated, while for mathematics you have to personally stop by with your certificate of study (“Studienbescheinigung”) in the System Administration in D2.301.
Auch Mathematiker sollten sich den Informatik-Login freischalten. Dies hat den Grund, dass ihr sonst nicht den Druck Service der Fachschaft nutzen könnt. Außerdem hat die Informatik viel mehr (und teilweise viel schnellere) Rechner, die ihr so auch verwenden könnt.
Even if you’re studying mathematics you should set up your account for using computer sciences’ systems. That way you can purchase pages for printing at the students council’s office.
Immer Zutritt
Damit Du auch nachts in der Uni am Rechner arbeiten kannst, bzw. werktags nach 19 Uhr und am Wochenende, benötigst du eine Magnetkarte. Diese kannst Du Dir bei der Informatik Rechnerbetreuung in Raum E0.129 / E1.106 kostenlos abholen. Bitte halte deinen Studi-Ausweis dafür bereit.
Always have access
To be able to work at night in the university on the computer (on weekdays after 19 o’clock and on weekends) you need a magnetic card. You can pick this up in the computer science computer support (IRB) in room E0.129 / E1.106. Please keep your student card ready.

Die Informatik-Rechnerbetreuung (IRB) findet ihr in Raum E0.129/ E1.106 nahe der Fachschaft, an der Fürstenallee in Raum F2.520 und erreicht sie über die Website, sowie per Mail. Sie sind dafür da, dass alle Rechner in der Informatik (nicht Mailserver) richtig funktionieren. Ebenso legen sie Papier in den Druckern nach und können euch helfen, wenn ihr euch einmal nicht einloggen könnt. Weiterhin könnt ihr dort Subversion- oder GIT-Repositorys für eure Abschlussarbeiten, Zugriff auf Virtuelle Maschinen und einige weitere, auf der Website genannte, Dienste erhalten. Zögert nicht bei Problemen direkt vorbeizukommen oder anzurufen.
The computer science computer support (in German “Informatik-Rechnerbetreuung”, IRB) can be found in the office in E1.129 next to the student council, at the Fürstenallee in room F2.520, on the website as well as via mail. They ensure that all the computers in the department for computer science (non-mail server) function properly. They also put paper in the printers and can help you if you can’t login. Furthermore, you can get Subversion or GIT repositories for your thesis, get access to virtual machines and some more services, as named on the website. Do not hesitate to come over directly with problems or to call.

Ihr findet die Ansprechpartner des Rechnerbetriebs der Mathematik in dem Raum D2.308 oder könnt sie per Mail erreichen. Sie kümmern sich um die Mathematikrechner und alle Dienste, die darauf laufen, sowie die Mathematik-Mailinglisten und weitere Services. Wenn ihr Probleme habt (etwa mit dem Einloggen, oder auch beim Remote-Zugriff über x2go, etc.) geht einfach dort vorbei, ruft an, oder schreibt eine Mail an den Rechnerbetrieb.
The computer operating mathematics (in German “Rechnerbetrieb Mathematik”, RBM) can be found in room D2.308 or you can contact them per mail. They care about the mathematics computers and all services running on them and operate the math mailing lists and other services. If you have any problems (such as with logging in or remote access via x2go etc.) simply stop by, call them or send an email.
